E Blues Solo Lesson

In this lesson, we will tackle a fairly easy-to-play solo in the key of E. If you haven't yet explored string bending, hammer-ons, or slides, please go to those lessons first. It will also be helpful to review the E Blues Scale in the open position.

Practice this solo a measure or two at a time. Set your metronome to 80 to 100 beats per minute...and we will use those as eighth note clicks. Eighth notes will receive 1 click, quarter notes will receive two clicks, dotted quarter notes will receive three clicks. This will help you to play the correct rhythm.
