Guitar Technique - Warm Up/Technique Exercises

These guitar technique exercises will help you build finger strength and left/right hand coordination!

  1. Keep your left fingers curled
  2. Play on the fingertip
  3. Do the exercises slowly and let each note ring
  4. Follow the fingering carefully
  5. Try to keep the other fingers (that aren't playing) close to the guitar strings
  6. When you feel comfortable playing these technique exercises, try playing them so that
each new finger that is placed on the fret will stay there until you move to the next string.

Remember, these are single notes, keep that right pinky on the guitar!
