Sus 4 and Add 2 Strums

Many folk, rock, or country songs use chords other than basic Majors and minors to enhance a simple strum pattern. Sus 4 and add 2 chords are probably used the most.

The Sus 4

Sus is an abbreviation for suspended. There is a very easy trick for remembering suspended chords. The third of a Major chord is replaced with the note a half step above it. It's that simple. First try the triad chords, then the full chords.
